Data recovery in Adairsville, GA

Family photos, tax records, schoolwork, business files: when a drive fails or files disappear, we’ll do everything we can to get them back.

We can help when

  • Your computer won’t boot but you need the files
  • A hard drive is clicking, grinding, or not detected
  • You deleted files or emptied the recycle bin
  • An external drive or USB stick stopped working
  • A laptop was dropped or had a spill
  • You’re moving everything to a new computer

If your drive is clicking, stop using it

A hard drive that clicks, grinds, or keeps disconnecting is often failing mechanically, and every hour it runs can make recovery harder. Power it down, don’t run free recovery programs on it, and bring it in. The less it’s used, the better the odds.

A lot of “lost” files aren’t gone

A computer that won’t start often has a perfectly healthy drive inside. Recently deleted files can frequently be recovered if the drive hasn’t been used much since. We look at the drive and tell you honestly what the chances look like before going further.

When it needs a specialist lab

Drives with severe physical damage sometimes have to be opened in a clean-room lab, which is a different and more expensive service. If that’s where yours is, we’ll tell you straight and help you decide whether it’s worth it.

Back up so it doesn’t happen again

Once your files are safe, we can set up automatic backups to an external drive, the cloud, or both, so next time a drive dies it’s an inconvenience instead of a loss.

FAQ

Data Recovery FAQ

How long does data recovery take?

It depends on the drive’s condition and how much data there is. Copying from a healthy drive is quick. A failing drive has to be read slowly and carefully, which takes longer.

Can you move my files to a new computer?

Yes. Photos, documents, browser bookmarks, and other files can be moved over so your new computer feels like yours on day one.

Should I try recovery software myself first?

If the drive is making noises or disconnecting, no. Running it more can make things worse. If it’s healthy and you just deleted something, stop saving new files to it and send us a message.
